The satellite with the best coverage and range of services in Latin America
HISPAMAR Satélites, a Brazilian company and a branch of HISPASAT, headquartered in Rio de Janeiro, launched, successfully, "AMAZONAS" into space, a new communications satellite with the most complete and modern range of communications services in Latin America.The satellite will be positioned in the 61º west orbital position and will provide Pan-American and Transatlantic coverage to the entire American continent, Europe and North Africa. HISPAMAR will be responsible for exploiting the satellite commercially. Its commercialization allied with the great capacity of the HISPASAT satellites at 30º west, will allow for both companies to supply the utmost in technological capabilities throughout the entire extent of the American continent.
