The Most Modern Technology Via Satellite at Your Service

With 4.5 tons in mass and a useful life of 15 years, the AMAZONAS satellite, which is based on the Astrium Eurostar 3000 three axis stabilized platform, is equipped with a total of 63 equivalent transponders, 36 at the Ku Band and 27 at the C Band. This is a large capacity and makes it the largest satellite in volume and in number of transponders in Latin America.

The Amazonas satellite stands out for its capacity to offer communication services within and outside of Brazil at the C Band and at the Ku Band. In spanish speaking America, the Ku Band is currently basically limited to providing television broadcasting and distribution services. Its use in corporate and wideband services represents a very important technological and qualitative leap in the continent’s satellite communications.

Furthermore, the Amazonas incorporates the latest technological advances, tested in flight, in antennae, repeaters and platforms, which ensure 15 years of operational life.
